Design Approach
Our Manifesto contains our views and ideas on Eleonas, as it manifests our main design approach. We see Eleonas as a space of possibility, while its peculiar characteristics and informal uses prove their dynamic as social and cultural events. On the other hand, the area is laying burried under a pile of pollution, lacking urban space and connection with the city around it. Our philosophy aims to change that through integrating new uses, revitalising the area from within.
The design approach, follows the manifesto, as we push industrial uses to the west of the area, regenarating Eleonas from the inside, by implanting mainly housing uses. Along with housing, comes a series of commercial and cultural uses, as long as a series of green spaces, creating a series of urban parks throughthe area. As the majority of the inhabitants of Eleonas think, the area's charm is exactly in this rural feeling that it preserves, even if its located only a few minutes from the dense urban centre of Athens.
